The Lego Serious Play methodology is a result of leading research from different fields of study based on the concept that thoughts and ideas built with our hands, tend to be expressed in greater detail and are more easily understood and remembered.
In response to a question, each participant builds their own three-dimensional LEGO model using specially selected bricks. Using metaphor, they share the story of the model with other participants and as a way of internalizing, they reflect on what was heard or seen in the model.
Lego Serious Play produces more concrete ideas and results, ensures faster and better communication and understanding because it uses 3D visualisation, metaphors and story making, which lead to fewer misunderstandings.
