Lego Serious Play
●●●
It is a thinking, communicating and problem solving facilitation tool that enables 100% involvement of all people participating in a meeting.
It is a four-step process that starts with the facilitator posing a question to the participants. The participants in response build a metaphorical model with Lego bricks representing their understanding of the topic. They share the story of the model with other participants and as a way of internalizing they reflect on what was heard or seen in the model. Through the Lego Serious Play methodology, participants can reflect three dimensionally, deepen reflection, provoke thought and make recollection more memorable.
The Lego® Serious Play® method was developed at LEGO in collaboration with leading researchers in the fields of business, organization development, psychology and learning and is based on the concept of “hand knowledge”. That thoughts and ideas that are built with our hands tend to be expressed in greater detail, they are also more easily understood and remembered. Using a combination of seven application techniques can be used to address a number of topics such as:
Leadership | Vision and Goal Setting |
Culture and Identity | Product Development |
Creativity and Innovation | Real time strategy |
